Peddi, starring Ram Charan and Janhvi Kapoor, is one of the most awaited pan-Indian releases of the year. Directed by Buchi Babu Sana, the film is being made as a grand multi-sports drama and is gearing up for a massive worldwide release.
Fans have been eagerly waiting for the film, and the excitement was clearly visible in the USA market when advance bookings opened. The response during the initial phase was phenomenal, although bookings later slowed down slightly.
Now, the latest update from distributors reveals that Peddi has crossed another solid milestone in the overseas market. The film has reportedly surpassed the $250K mark in USA advance sales, which is considered an impressive achievement at this stage.
What makes this more noteworthy is that the makers have yet to release the trailer or major promotional content from the film. Trade circles believe the advance booking graph could rise significantly once the trailer and other promotional material are unveiled.
The film also carries huge expectations because of its stellar technical team and supporting cast. Oscar-winning composer A. R. Rahman is composing the music, while veteran actors Jagapathi Babu and Shiva Rajkumar are playing important roles.
With strong pre-release buzz already building, Peddi is all set for a grand theatrical release on June 4.
