Leading his party, Tamilaga Vetri Kalagam (TVK), Vijay showcased his authority in the Assembly by winning the crucial floor test on Wednesday with a clear majority.
The TVK government secured 144 votes, a resounding victory that underlined Vijay’s political momentum. Support came from the Congress, Viduthalai Chiruthaigal Katchi (VCK), and rebel AIADMK MLAs, while DMK members staged a walkout in protest.
Addressing the Assembly, Vijay made it clear that his government will focus on secular policies and social justice, promising a full five years of committed governance.
