Megastar Chiranjeevi recently welcomed acclaimed Malayalam filmmaker Tharun Moorthy (whose last film with Mohanlal, Thudarum, was a blockbuster) to his Hyderabad residence, sparking excitement among fans and the film industry alike.
Following the meeting, Tharun clarified on Instagram that the visit was not about remaking his successful film Thudarum. “Chiranjeevi sir personally invited me, and I immediately flew to Hyderabad. We spoke at length about cinema and our personal lives. He even went through every sequence from all my films. I was thrilled,” Tharun shared.
The director praised Chiranjeevi’s passion for movies, noting that the superstar still watches films with the enthusiasm of a newcomer. “That’s what makes him truly unique,” Tharun added.
Calling it one of the most significant moments of his career, Tharun described the meeting as his “lifetime’s biggest excitement.”
While the director dismissed rumors of a remake, speculation is already building about a possible collaboration. With Chiranjeevi openly admiring Tharun’s filmmaking style, fans are eagerly waiting to see if this meeting leads to something new. As of now, no official announcement has been made.
