Vishwak Sen and Anudeep KV’s Funky and Santosh Sobhan and Manasa Varanasi’s Couple Friendly are the two films that have been released on the weekend of Valentine’s Day and Maha Shivaratri. But both films have failed to do well at the box office.
Funky did not get much positive feedback from audiences and critics, but Couple Friendly had a decent response comparatively, as the reviews for the film were good. But somehow, the good talk did not translate into considerable numbers at the box office.
Despite Valentine’s Day and Maha Shivaratri falling on Saturday and Sunday, there was not much noise at the box office.
Couple Friendly is directed by debutant Ashwin Chandrasekar, starring Santosh Shobhan and Manasa Varanasi. The film, produced by UV Concepts, has music by Aditya Ravindran.
Funky is written and directed by Anudeep KV, known for the blockbuster Jathi Ratnalu. The music is composed by Bheems Ceciroleo, known for his work in Tillu Square and MAD. Kayadu Lohar appears as the female lead.
