Tamil star hero Suriya’s latest film Karuppu (titled Veerabhadrudu in Telugu) was scheduled to release today. Directed by RJ Balaji, the film was expected to open with fanfare, but unexpected hurdles have led to a last-minute cancellation of shows.
Reports confirm that the screenings were halted due to pending financial settlements involving the producers. As a result, both morning and afternoon shows were cancelled, leaving fans deeply disappointed.
In response, director RJ Balaji released an emotional video message on social media. He said, “I sincerely apologize. I never imagined this situation. I hope all issues are resolved soon, and the film reaches theatres by 6 PM today.” His heartfelt words struck a chord with fans, who have since rallied behind him online, expressing support and solidarity. But still, the film is yet to see the light.
Produced by Dream Warrior Pictures, the film features Trisha as the female lead. With the release now uncertain, audiences are waiting anxiously to see if Karuppu will finally hit theatres by tomorrow.
