Toxic, starring Yash, has been postponed to June 4 from March 19. The ongoing war situation in the Middle East led to the delay of the film, according to the makers. The film is produced by KVN Productions, which also backed Jana Nayagan starring Vijay, and the latest reports suggest that the production house is set to release both biggies back to back.
Vijay’s Jana Nayagan, initially slated for a theatrical release on January 9, 2026, encountered an issue when the censor board denied certification, leading to a High Court review. Furthermore, the film’s release is contingent on the Tamil Nadu elections, potentially delaying it to May or June.
If that happens, both biggies from KVN Productions could be released closely together. Thalapathy Vijay’s fans are already disappointed with the postponement, and it remains to be seen how the makers will strategically plan the release windows without negatively impacting either film.
