After the massive success of Prabhas’ Kalki 2898 AD, fans are eagerly awaiting its continuation, tentatively titled Kalki 2. The sequel’s shooting is currently underway in Hyderabad, with recent schedules focusing on crucial scenes involving Amitabh Bachchan and Kamal Haasan.
Reports suggest that director Nag Ashwin has introduced a new character alongside Prabhas’ role. This special addition is said to be a negative character, and buzz indicates that another Bollywood actor will portray it, adding further intrigue to the film.
Produced on a grand scale by Vyjayanthi Movies, the sequel will feature Kamal Haasan as the primary antagonist. Industry talk hints that the film may be titled “Karna 3102 BC”, with mythology playing an even bigger role than in the first installment. Since Kalki 2898 AD ended with a focus on the character of Karna, it is widely believed that the sequel will have importance to that character.
With Prabhas returning, Kamal Haasan as the central villain, and Nag Ashwin expanding the universe with new characters, the Kalki sequel promises to be even more ambitious. The mythological depth and star power make it one of the most anticipated projects in Indian Cinema.
