Peddi, starring Ram Charan and directed by Buchi Babu Sana, is one of the most-awaited big films in Telugu cinema for 2026. The movie was earlier announced to release on March 27, 2026. However, for some time now, there has been strong buzz that the film may not arrive on the planned date. According to the latest reports, Peddi has indeed been postponed from its March release.
The delay is said to be due to Ram Charan’s transformation for the film. He reportedly appears in different looks, and these portions require more time to shoot. Since the film also features multiple sports-related sequences, the makers want to take extra care to ensure everything looks perfect. To allow enough time for shooting, post-production, and other technical work, the team decided that postponing the release would be the better option.

Director Buchi Babu and his team are focused on delivering a high-quality cinematic experience and do not want to rush the process. As a result, Peddi, the most-awaited biggie, is now expected to be released in the first week of August. An official announcement regarding the new release date is likely to be made by the producers in the coming days. Interestingly, the original release date, March 27, falls on Ram Charan’s birthday, while the new tentative window in early August coincides with Mahesh Babu’s birthday.
